The role of the part time HR Advisor could be 3 full days or 5 half days (total weekly working hours 22-24).

This is a great opportunity to join as a stand alone HR professional a busy long established medium sized business.

The role of the HR Advisor will to be work closely with the operations side of the business making sure that the whole business across all the different departments has HR coverage and support and that the HR Advisor is capable of keeping the business compliant, and that HR contributes to the business making sure everything runs efficiently and smoothly from a people perspective.

HR Advisor will have responsibility for doing the payroll for the office staff and must have previous experience of doing a full payroll. They must also be happy to do day-to-day HR transactional duties, oversee GDPR, support the Managers with ER, recruitment, updating policies and procedures, deliver any training required to Managers regarding changes in employment law. Further down the line as the role evolves there could be opportunities get involved in HR projects.

The key areas of the role initially will be to oversee and deliver an excellent service managing and process the payroll and dealing with any queries, establishing good HR Best practice across the site and business, being the go to person for all things HR and maintaining a strong presence in all areas of the business, particularly being visible in the key operational areas and have an interest in the process of the business. (Good business acumen and previous experience in a blue/white collar working environment is essential).

The ideal candidate will have worked for 2 – 4 years in an operational environment with blue/white collared workers, have at least 2 years full payroll responsibility and capable of delivering a full payroll (for office paid workers on full time contracts). Good knowledge of employment law, previously worked in fast paced working environments and has a generalist operational HR background.
