As a Product Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and scalability of our political data products. You’ll work cross-functionally with product, tech, and content teams to enhance our data systems, onboard new data sources, and support the development of cutting-edge sentiment analysis tools. Key Responsibilities
Data Integrity & Maintenance
- Monitor and maintain the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of our core datasets.
- Ensure data flows smoothly across systems and resolve data-related issues in collaboration with tech teams.
- Track and report on data quality metrics to support continuous improvement.
Data Sourcing & Expansion
- Identify and evaluate new data sources to enhance the value of our product suite.
- Work with web scraping tools to ensure coverage of political stakeholder publications.
- Troubleshoot issues in data pipelines and help scale sourcing infrastructure.
Product & Sentiment Development
- Contribute to the design and rollout of sentiment-based data products.
- Support sentiment scoring development and ensure consistency across datasets.
- Partner with product managers to translate analytical needs into data structures.
Process Optimization & Documentation
- Maintain robust documentation of data sources, processes, and QA standards.
- Proactively suggest and implement improvements to workflows and data architecture.
Your Experience & Knowledge
- 1–3 years of professional experience in a data-centric role (e.g., data analyst, product data specialist, or similar).
- Proficiency with tools such as Excel, Looker, Tableau, or similar BI platforms.
- Comfortable working with structured and unstructured data in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Nice to have:
- Experience working with large or complex datasets.
- Familiarity with natural language processing or sentiment analysis tools.
- Understanding of political landscapes, especially UK or EU public affairs.
- Exposure to APIs, web scraping, and data integration processes.
