As a Product Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and scalability of our political data products. You’ll work cross-functionally with product, tech, and content teams to enhance our data systems, onboard new data sources, and support the development of cutting-edge sentiment analysis tools. Key Responsibilities

Data Integrity & Maintenance

  • Monitor and maintain the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of our core datasets.
  • Ensure data flows smoothly across systems and resolve data-related issues in collaboration with tech teams.
  • Track and report on data quality metrics to support continuous improvement.

Data Sourcing & Expansion

  • Identify and evaluate new data sources to enhance the value of our product suite.
  • Work with web scraping tools to ensure coverage of political stakeholder publications.
  • Troubleshoot issues in data pipelines and help scale sourcing infrastructure.

Product & Sentiment Development

  • Contribute to the design and rollout of sentiment-based data products.
  • Support sentiment scoring development and ensure consistency across datasets.
  • Partner with product managers to translate analytical needs into data structures.

Process Optimization & Documentation

  • Maintain robust documentation of data sources, processes, and QA standards.
  • Proactively suggest and implement improvements to workflows and data architecture.

Your Experience & Knowledge

  • 1–3 years of professional experience in a data-centric role (e.g., data analyst, product data specialist, or similar).
  • Proficiency with tools such as Excel, Looker, Tableau, or similar BI platforms.
  • Comfortable working with structured and unstructured data in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Nice to have:

  • Experience working with large or complex datasets.
  • Familiarity with natural language processing or sentiment analysis tools.
  • Understanding of political landscapes, especially UK or EU public affairs.
  • Exposure to APIs, web scraping, and data integration processes.
