Our New Business Team cultivates opportunities for FactSet’s short sales cycle product suites. As a Business Development Representative, you will identify and qualify potential clients who could benefit from FactSet’s offerings. You will engage with a variety of financial institutions, including Corporates, Investment Banks, Private Equity/Venture Capital firms, Hedge Funds, and Wealth Management firms, providing tailored solutions that fit their investment workflows and needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the financial landscape, excel at researching leads, initiating relationships, and effectively showcasing FactSet’s value.

Responsibilities

  1. Utilize tools such as SalesForce, Zoominfo, and Navigator, along with outbound cold calling and email strategies, to generate new sales opportunities.
  2. Proactively pursue new business by generating leads, building relationships with prospects, and exploring new sales channels.
  3. Provide prospects with valuable information, assess their needs, and recommend appropriate FactSet solutions.
  4. Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects, collaborating with sales teams to determine next steps.
  5. Conduct product demonstrations, oversee trial periods, and close new business deals.

Minimum Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field.
  2. Over 3 years of experience in the financial services sector, with at least half in sales, including experience selling multiple solutions.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Strong problem-solving skills and technological proficiency.
  5. High energy and self-motivation in a sales-driven environment.
  6. Familiarity with FactSet or its competitors is a plus.
