Job Description:

  • £50,000 – £52,200
  • Commercial gas role, but scope to consider Domestic Gas Engineers happy to upskill and acquire Commercial tickets – paid by the employer*
  • Mobile role with van, covering Lanarkshire
  • Mon to Fri, 8 – 5PM (paid within working hours)
  • Overtime available, and rates are:
  • Mon to Fri, x1.5 until midnight
  • Weekends, x1.5 Sat morning, x2 Sat afternoon and Sunday
  • Call out – 5 weeks a year at £300 total standby payment plus 4 hours paid if called out

Here at ISS, as one of the leading Facilities Management (FM) providers in the UK and beyond, we are looking to recruit a Gas Engineer to complete planned and reactive maintenance across Lanarkshire based contracts, including banking and government customers

Here, with usage of company van, phone, laptop etc you will provide a world class Gas service, with the opportunity to upskill and develop, while completing a small number of non gas repairs

With an established client base, full support and strong leadership in place, this is a fantastic role for either a Commercial Gas Engineer, or a Domestic Gas Engineer looking to upskill into Commercial

Actions will include:

  • Responsibility for commercial combustion, heating and HVAC bias PPM, proactive and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within set time frames so that the customer expectations are exceeded.
  • Responsibility for other types of building services maintenance to include fabric, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical and related tasks.
  • To provide callout response for the client as detailed on the callout rota.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of plant rooms, workshops, and storage areas.
  • To undertake new installations, major and minor repair works to clients gas/heating systems.
  • Diagnose and repair faults on systems and plant including basic electrical fault finding.
  • To undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client, including monitoring of contractors and their workmanship, so that relevant standards are met. Issue of Permits to Work.
  • Ensure that all gas/heating equipment within scope operates to specified performance criteria.
  • Ensure equipment and surrounding area conforms to agreed company/industry standards.
  • To provide a professional service and represent the company in a way which ensures customer satisfaction.
  • To evaluate performance and ensure the proper servicing and maintenance of equipment under contract to the company is carried out.

  • Either Commercial & Domestic Tickets, or Domestic tickets, with an ability to obtain Commercial – at company expense
