Water Treatment Engineer

Water Treatment Engineer – FM Service Provider – Commercial Building – Holloway Road – £25 per hour

Exciting opportunity to work for an established FM Service provider situated in Holloway Road. CBW are currently recruiting for a Water Treatment Engineer to be based in a commercial building in Holloway Road, London. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in water treatment, ideally with some plumbing experience.

Working hours

• Monday – Friday
• 40 hours per week
• £25 per hour
• Weekly payment
• Starting Immediately
• This role will include a lot of walking around big commercial buildings
• May need to occasionally travel to a building in Hackney to cover

Key Responsibilities

• Daily, weekly, and monthly analytical testing of cooling towers and closed systems
• Log Book Ownership
• Chilled Water systems
• Cooling tower maintenance
• Closed system experience
• Water flushing
• Disinfecting mains water pipes and hot & cold water systems when needed
• Working with chemicals such as chemical dosing
• Surveys on hot and cold water systems
• Basic Plumbing
• Repairing pipework and leaks
• Small plumbing jobs such as dead leg removal
• Carry out general building maintenance
• Knowledge of Calorifiers, Cooling Towers – Disinfection, Circulation pumps, Temp tests, Tank Cleans, Chlorination, Water softeners, Cold water storage tanks, Dip Slides

Requirements

• City and Guilds in Plumbing
• City and Guilds in Water Treatment
• City and Guilds Legionella control within hot and cold water systems
• Experience working with cooling towers
• Demonstrate previous experience in water system remediation/maintenance works
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance material
• Fully trained and knowledgeable in water treatment systems
