We’re offering a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and analytically minded Assistant Finance Business Partner to support the financial review and analysis of the business — with a particular focus on management accounts support for our Personal Injury legal teams.
Working closely with the Finance Business Partner, you’ll provide insightful analysis and recommendations to help improve financial performance and drive efficiencies across the organisation. This is a key role for someone currently studying towards an accounting qualification, who brings management accounting experience, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Main Responsibilities:
- Work closely with and support the Finance Business Partner, assisting Legal Teams with analysis and recommendations to improve financial performance and efficiencies.
- Manage ongoing finance-related projects, support Legal Directors, and monitor performance against financial projections.
- Prepare management accounts, review monthly spend, identify savings, and support budget setting.
- Provide financial support for ad-hoc requests across the business.
- Analyze and interpret data.
- Assist with annual budget forecasts.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Currently studying towards an accounting qualification
- Management accounting experience
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPS, SUMIFS, pivot tables)
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to work efficiently and at pace
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Experience in the Legal sector
- Use of a case management system
- Commercial experience
