We are looking for a Commercial Manager – Data Centres to join our Building Services team at Telehouse, London.

Working as a Commercial Manager – Data Centres, you will manage the MEP project finances and contractual obligations internally and externally, including all subcontract packages. You will be part of the project team, ensuring projects are within prescribed financial margins and meet client and company targets.

What you’ll do:

  • Create a commercial strategy with a route map to achieving Most-Likely
  • Manage the client’s commercial expectations (Change/Payments/Applications/Notices/Advice)
  • Manage recovery from client changes through understanding and applying the deal
  • Manage and issue relevant notices to the client where applicable
  • Monitor, manage and report against the base contract sum or cost plan
  • Manage and use internal financial reporting and payment systems
  • Manage the design within cost benchmarks
  • Create project procurement strategies, monitor and manage them
  • Prepare procurement documents for packages including scopes, quantification, tender method, negotiation, and subcontract documentation

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Experience of commercially managing large MEP projects
  • Previous experience at SQS level managing significant subcontract packages (£10-50M+)
  • Good working knowledge of contract and commercial law
  • Experience with NEC and Design and Build contracts
  • Client-facing experience
  • Relevant CSCS Card
  • SMSTS certification
  • Degree or equivalent in a commercial-related subject
