Allen & York are excited to be working with an automotive member organisation to recruit an Environmental Policy Manager. Joining the dedicated Public Policy & Vehicle Legislation Department, this key role involves developing and leading policy and regulatory activities within the automotive sector, focusing on sustainability and circularity.

Responsibilities include:

1. Leading projects and developing reports on circularity, batteries, chemicals, and related regulatory areas.
2. Engaging with members to understand their concerns and liaising with government departments to represent their views.
3. Collaborating with stakeholders at UK, EU, and UN levels, which may involve national and international travel.

Requirements:

• Experience in circularity and regulatory frameworks, especially EU regulations.
• Knowledge of batteries and chemicals is a plus.
• Ability to analyze data and create engaging presentations to influence policy strategies.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with industry and government officials, with an engaging and influential personality.
• Degree in environmental or science discipline.
• Experience in sectors with complex supply chains and regulation, such as energy or manufacturing, or consultancy experience.

Additional details:

The role is based in London, requiring a minimum of 50% office presence, including Tuesdays with the team. The candidate should be located in the South East, within commuting distance of Central London, and be willing to travel as needed.
