Surveyor – Commercial Property Management

A prominent property consultancy, recognised for its dynamic and supportive working culture, is seeking a proactive and detail-focused Surveyor to join its London-based Commercial Property Management team. The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing a diverse portfolio comprising primarily retail and industrial assets, situated across a range of key locations.
This client-facing role is ideal for someone looking to combine operational delivery with strategic oversight, contributing directly to the performance and enhancement of income-producing properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied portfolio of commercial properties, primarily retail parks, high street retail units, and multi-let industrial estates.
- Deliver hands-on day-to-day management of assets, including regular inspections and oversight of building operations.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients and occupiers, providing timely responses and professional advice.
- Lead the onboarding of new instructions, ensuring smooth transitions and accurate system integration.
- Prepare high-quality reporting packs for clients, tailored to their specific requirements and timescales.
- Collaborate with facilities teams and contractors to ensure assets are maintained to a high standard.
- Monitor rent collections and service charge accounts in coordination with central teams, resolving issues proactively.
- Prepare and manage annual service charge budgets and conduct regular financial reviews.
- Support asset management initiatives by identifying value-enhancing opportunities across the portfolio.
- Maintain accurate lease and property data, and assist in planning for critical lease events such as renewals, break options, and rent reviews.

- Strong team player who also demonstrates initiative and autonomy in managing responsibilities.
- Commercially minded, with an understanding of the retail and industrial property sectors.
- Experience managing multi-let assets is highly advantageous.
