Our client is an accountancy and business advisory firm providing advice and solutions to help businesses navigate today’s changing world. A key pillar of their strategy is leading with digital innovation and transforming their approach to audit.

They are investing heavily in their data analytics offerings and innovating how data supports professional services delivery.

Their data team within the Technology Risk Assurance division is expanding rapidly, offering an excellent opportunity for a project manager to oversee client deliverables related to data analytics. The team is diverse and growing fast, providing opportunities for career development.

Their services include assurance and advisory work, with a current focus on assurance but a rapidly increasing advisory component, allowing engagement across multiple data analytics solutions.

They have developed solutions using Alteryx, SQL, PowerBI, Azure Data Bricks, and Qlikview. Due to their success, they need to coordinate larger client projects to meet audit team timelines.

This semi-technical role is ideally suited for a financial auditor with a keen interest in Audit Data Analytics and stakeholder engagement.

You will join a dynamic, experienced team managing various client projects, setting priorities, and ensuring cohesive delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Support development and delivery of data analytics solutions by managing project activities.
  • Engage stakeholders to scope engagements, develop timelines, and prepare budgets.
  • Conduct process mapping to understand data flows and create data requests.
  • Coordinate data gathering with stakeholders to meet analytics needs.
  • Update project management tools and escalate deviations from plans.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Coordinate resourcing and priorities with managers.
  • Design and facilitate stakeholder workshops to promote data analytics use.
  • Maintain clear documentation of data requirements and process maps.

Requirements:

Technical

  • Strong business analysis skills, including financial accounting and process mapping.
  • Understanding of financial auditing and how Data Analytics supports it.
  • Good project management discipline.
  • Ability to manage multiple milestones across engagements.
  • Desirable: Data analysis skills.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of Qlikview, Power BI, or similar tools.
  • Desirable: Experience in a professional services environment.
  • Desirable: Familiarity with modern database and information systems.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Teams).

  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience with political and cultural aspects of project management.
  • Proactive, team-oriented, and adaptable with problem-solving skills.
  • Enthusiasm for data analysis and interpretation.

Office Location:

  • Preferred: London or Birmingham, but other locations considered near one of 17 offices, with travel expected once or twice weekly.
