Our client is looking to hire a part time Logistics coordinator to work in the logistics/transport team, to fulfil internal and external customer orders. This is a part time role of 20 hrs per week – some flexibility on working hours in the day
Reporting to: Logistics Manager / Assistant Logistics Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving and coordinating customer orders and enquiries
- Sourcing and managing contract hauliers
- Planning incoming materials, outgoing orders and internal transfers of stock
- Planning and scheduling work for vehicles/drivers
- Utilising the fleet to maximize efficiency of routes and ernings
- Administration associated with invoices, vehicle earnings and drivers wages
- Safe practices
- Managing visitors, all vehicles entering depot
- Promoting the core values of the company
Key Skills
- Able to demonstrate good geographical knowledge (local)
- Excellent communication skills
- Sound numeracy skills
- Proficient use of IT, including Microsoft (Word & Excel)
- Knowledge of drivers hours regulations and WTD Working Time Directive would be preferencial
- Preference for experience in aggregate or construction industry
