We’re looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer who thrives on technical ownership and enjoys system-level thinking. Happy to consider a salary from £55K pa and above (depending on experience)We’re a small, agile team tackling big engineering challenges so you’ll have the freedom to take real ownership of your work and see the direct impact of your designs in systems deployed worldwide.

OpenWorks Engineering develop CUAS, Air Defence and Optical Surveillance, Sensing and Tracking Technology for Defence and Security.

We’ve developed an award winning and innovative drone capture and autonomous optical detection and tracking technology. The systems offer the capability to protect high profile assets, facilities, the public and VIPs from the threats posed by Aerial threats.

We are very proud to have supported a wide range of law enforcement and military operators protecting many of the most high profile sites and individuals around the world.

We’re happy to consider a salary from £55K pa and above (depending on experience)

You’ll design and develop cutting-edge electronic systems and play a key role in taking products from concept through to real-world deployment.

This role is predominantly on-site, offering flexible working based on project needs and hands-on time with real hardware in our fully equipped lab and workshop.

Define and develop robust, scalable electronics systems for complex electro-mechanical and optoelectronic productsCollaborate across disciplines (mechanical, software, systems) to shape system-level solutionsInterface with external labs to meet regulatory and certification standards (EMC, environmental etc.)Support international customers with technical queries and field issues

High attention to detail and a commitment to quality in everything you doStrong background in electronics / hardwareProven experience delivering production ready electronic systemsPCB design capability with hands-on skills (e.g. soldering, rework, prototype assembly)Technically curious and creative with a passion for solving real-world problemsThe autonomy to lead diverse project teams across exciting, real world technical challengesThe opportunity to help shape ground breaking productsAs a small, high-performance team (with approx 60 people), we offer the opportunity for a professional to have autonomy and responsibility.
