Role Overview

The firm is seeking an experienced and motivated Family Lawyer to join its expanding team in Cambridge and surrounding areas.

The successful candidate will manage a diverse and high-quality caseload of family law matters, delivering strategic, empathetic advice while maintaining the highest standards of client care.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a broad range of family law matters including divorce, financial remedy proceedings, child arrangements, and cohabitation disputes.
• Providing clear, strategic and commercially sound legal advice tailored to clients’ individual circumstances.
• Drafting and reviewing legal documentation, court applications, and correspondence accurately and efficiently.
• Representing clients in negotiations, mediation, and court proceedings where required.
• Maintaining strong client relationships through professionalism, empathy, and integrity.
• Collaborating with colleagues to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
• Contributing to the continued growth and reputation of the firm.

Person Specification

• Qualified Solicitor with experience in family law.
• Strong technical expertise across a broad range of private family matters.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload independently with excellent organisational skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
• Experience mentoring or supervising junior team members.
• Involvement in networking or business development initiatives.
• Experience with alternative dispute resolution methods.
