I have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager to join an award-winning housebuilder on a permanent basis, based in Oxford, overseeing projects within the region.

The company has been established for approximately 20 years and has become one of the leading housebuilders in the UK, with regional offices across the South East of England.

Their developments include large family homes, luxury houses, and city centre apartments. They are focused on quality and are recognized as a trusted provider of quality homes throughout the UK.

They are a busy business with ongoing projects and many more in the pipeline. They seek an experienced Contracts Manager with a proven track record in overseeing private and public residential developments from a main contracting background. The role involves managing approximately 8 projects simultaneously, of various sizes, requiring an exceptional understanding of residential developments.

Role Responsibilities:

1. Lead and inspire teams to enhance project productivity.
2. Manage various sites with integrated design, construction, and commercial activities.
3. Maintain a positive attitude, understanding the impact of decisions on all project aspects.
4. Understand design, procurement, planning, programming, progress reporting, and construction processes.
5. Report openly and honestly, acknowledge problems, analyze, and provide solutions.
6. Supervise Project Managers, Site Managers, contractors, and internal staff daily.

Candidate Criteria:

1. Proven experience managing multiple residential schemes of various sizes and stages, delivered on time and within budget.
2. Background in main contracting and new build residential projects.
