Business Analyst
As a Technical Business Analyst specializing in trade data analysis, you will play a critical role in our data management and trading operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze trade data, define and codify validation and mapping rules, and ensure data integrity through the use of Python and JSON schema. Your expertise will help us enhance our trading processes and deliver high-quality data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Trade Data Analysis: Analyze trade data to identify patterns, trends, and discrepancies. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Validation and Mapping Rules: Define and codify validation and mapping rules for trade data using JSON schema. Ensure that data is accurate, consistent, and compliant with industry standards.
- Python Scripting: Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate data validation, transformation, and integration processes. Leverage Python to enhance data analysis and reporting capabilities.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and developers to gather requirements, document processes, and ensure alignment on data-related projects.
- Data Quality Assurance: Implement data quality checks and validation procedures to maintain the integrity of trade data. Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner.
- Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for data validation rules, mapping rules, and processes. Ensure that documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant teams.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve existing data processes, tools, and systems. Propose and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role, preferably within the trading or financial services industry.
- Strong proficiency in Python for data analysis, automation, and scripting.
- Experience with trade data analysis and a solid understanding of trading processes.
- Familiarity with JSON schema for defining and codifying data validation and mapping rules.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is a plus.
