The Opportunity: A prestigious and highly regarded law firm in Taunton is seeking an experienced Private Client Partner to lead and grow its well-established Private Client team. This senior appointment offers the chance to play a key role in shaping the department’s future, while managing a high-quality caseload and developing strong client relationships.
The successful candidate will advise on a broad range of private client matters, including:
Wills, trusts, and estate planning
Probate and estate administration
Tax and succession planning
Powers of attorney and Court of Protection matters
High net worth and complex estates
In addition to fee-earning work, the role will involve team leadership, supervision of junior lawyers, and contributing to the strategic development of the department. Business development and networking will also be an important part of the position.
The ideal candidate will be:
A senior Solicitor or Legal Director with significant experience in private client law
Able to demonstrate a proven track record in building strong client relationships and managing high-value estates
Experienced in supervising and mentoring junior colleagues
Commercially astute, with an aptitude for business development and networking
STEP qualified would be advantageous
