Commercial Accountant

Salary: up to £50k + study (if required) + benefits + progression

I am working with a fantastic, rapidly expanding PE backed SME entering an exciting period of growth & change over the next 2-3 years. This is a newly created role to shape their commercial finance function where you will play a key role in delivering insightful financial reporting and supporting decision-making across the business. There is a great opportunity to progess to future Finance Manager/Financial Controller in a well-rounded role as the business grows

Responsibilities

• Providing financial insight to support multiple areas of the business including sales, commercial, pricing decisions and margin improvement ideas
• Business Partnering with sales, customer services, SLT, wider business in all areas delivering financial analysis
• Providing ad-hoc reports to the CFO and board to drive commercial decisions
• Working with billings/commercial running revenue recognition processes across recurring, billing cycles, customer changes and more
• Continuous improvement involvement across processes & becoming a super-user on the newly implemented finance system
• Supporting board reporting packs adding commentary
• Assisting with budgeting & forecasting processes working with stakeholders
• Variance analysis, revenue analysis and hitting month-end close deadlines
• Assisting with and month end duties when required

Experience

• ACCA/CIMA/ACA part qualified or finalist.
• Revenue experience from any industry beneficial but not essential
• Management accounts & general finance knowledge essential
