Salary: up to £75,000 + bonus & benefits

We are partnering with a well-established and growing reinsurance business seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join its finance team in a high-profile role with a clear succession plan to a future Financial Controller opportunity.

This role is ideally suited to a Big 4–trained accountant (or equivalent) looking to transition from practice or take the next step within industry, gaining exposure to senior stakeholders, technical accounting, and leadership responsibility within a regulated reinsurance environment.

The Role

• Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting under IFRS.
• Support group and statutory accounts, audit processes, and regulatory reporting.
• Ensure compliance with insurance and reinsurance accounting standards.
• Strengthen financial controls, processes, and accounting policies.
• Work closely with senior finance leadership, gaining exposure to Financial Controller-level responsibilities.
• Support ad-hoc projects, process improvements, and system enhancements.
• Act as a key point of contact for auditors and internal stakeholders.

Candidate Profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA), ideally Big 4 trained
• Experience within reinsurance, insurance, or a regulated financial services environment.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise (IFRS).
• Ambitious, career-driven individual seeking progression to Financial Controller.
• Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders.
