Reinsurance Accounting Technician

Overview
They are now looking for an experienced Reinsurance Accounting Technician to join their City of London operation.
Responsibilities
- Ensure reinsurance premium and settlement payments are made within contractual obligations.
- Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure all payments are made on time.
- Review and authorise payments, ensuring they align with transactions created in the system.
- Confirm the necessary authority has been received for reinsurance settlements per approved authorities.
- Manage all reinsurance transactions initiating settlement and receipt with third parties.
- Accurately allocate settlements/receipts to reinsurer level within databases.
- Effectively manage intercompany balances ensuring prompt transfer of funds.
- Clear unmatched balances and keep amounts to a minimum.
- Produce regular reinsurance aged debt reports showing unsettled ceded financials at Group and Entity levels by reinsurer.
- Produce weekly ceded financial summaries of unsettled due payments.
- Produce regular summary of upcoming payments for treasury's benefit to arrange available funds.
- Assist with development and testing of software tools through liaison with Business Analytics team.
