We are seeking a qualified (new or recently qualified) Senior Accountant to join a professional services firm in Leeds. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy, and supporting strategic decision‑making.
Base pay range
Competitive salary of approximately £50,000, with flexibility in working arrangements.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage financial statements and reports
- Oversee month‑end and year‑end closing processes
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors as required
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies
- Support the Accounting & Finance department with ad‑hoc tasks
Qualifications
- A recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, or CIMA)
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and analytical skills
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Practice or industry experience
- Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
