Overview
As a Peripatetic Nurse (RGN/RMN) at Barchester, you'll travel across your region to deliver the high clinical standards we're known for. You'll lead a multidisciplinary team to ensure that on each shift, at every location, all residents receive the highest quality care. You can expect responsibilities ranging from helping new residents settle in to developing care plans tailored to residents’ physical and mental needs. As a Peripatetic Nurse, you'll have the freedom and autonomy to do things the right way and be valued and respected for what you do.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support a multi-disciplinary team to maintain high-quality care on every shift and location.
- Assist with settling in new residents and supporting onboarding processes for new team members.
- Develop and implement care plans that address residents’ physical and mental needs.
- Apply clinical judgement and regulatory standards to daily practice, ensuring safe and effective care delivery.
About You / Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with a current NMC registration.
- Teaching, mentoring or supervision qualification.
- Strong, up-to-date clinical knowledge and understanding of key regulatory frameworks, including safe administration of medicines, Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines, and NMC standards.
- Proven track record of producing care plans and detailed risk assessments.
- Dedicated and ambitious, with the ability to lead by example and motivate teams through excellent communication.
