Position Overview
As a Senior Registered Nurse, you’ll be responsible for leading care delivery, supervising staff, and ensuring the highest standards of nursing practice. You’ll assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for residents, while supporting their independence and wellbeing. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care in a care home setting
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual care plans
- Supervise and support care assistants and junior staff
- Promote person-centred care and maintain continuity of care
- Administer medication and monitor residents’ health
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Participate in training and professional development activities
- Support revalidation process for NMC registration
- Maintain accurate documentation and records
Required Qualifications
- Valid NMC registration (RMN or RGN)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in the UK
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to join the Disclosure Scotland PVG scheme
- Genuine interest in elderly care and personal development
Preferred Experience
- Supervisory experience in a care home or clinical setting
- Experience working with dementia, stress/distress, and complex care needs
