Contract RF / Hardware Engineer (Long Wave Radio | Sub-GHz Radar)
We’re seeking an experienced RF / Hardware Engineer to support an ongoing long-wave radio and sub-GHz radar project. This is a hands‑on, technical contract role, ideal for someone with strong mixed‑signal and RF design skills who enjoys solving complex hardware challenges.
Responsibilities
- Contributing to the design, development, and optimisation of long-wave radar systems
- Working across RF front‑end design, signal integrity, and mixed‑signal hardware
- Supporting PCB‑level design, testing, and integration of sub‑GHz components
- Collaborating with a small, focused engineering team on innovative low‑frequency RF solutions
Qualifications
- Proven background in RF / analog circuit design (ideally sub‑GHz or long‑wave systems)
- Experience with mixed‑signal electronics, filtering, and impedance matching
- Some hardware engineering experience (schematic capture, board bring‑up, debugging)
- Familiarity with RF test equipment (VNAs, spectrum analysers, oscilloscopes)
- Comfortable working independently 1–2 days per week — on‑site or remotely
- Flexible working pattern — ideal for contractors or engineers seeking part‑time projects
