Overview
My client is a specialist manufacturer and they are looking for an Engineering Manager to join their team in the Kidderminster area on a permanent basis.
Base pay range
Salary - £45,000- £55,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Type: Permanent
Responsibilities
- Leading and developing the design team
- Managing the delivery of engineering tasks / communicating with vendors and partners
- Always driving continuous improvement in the department
- Directly managing reports, setting KPI’s and carrying out reviews and training as required
- Design and detail drawings using 3D CAD software
- Supporting the other platform design teams as necessary through collaboration with other colleagues
- Ensuring all work meets the relevant standards
- Ensuring compliance with ISO standards
Qualifications
- Experience in a similar Design Manager/ Engineering Manager role previously
- Degree qualified or similar in Mechanical Engineering
- Proficiency with using SolidWorks and Vault or similar
- Previous exposure to using MS Project would be ideal
- Strong leadership skills
- Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
