About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Transport Planner to join our dynamic team based in Fradley. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient planning and execution of transport operations, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, and supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and optimise transport routes to ensure cost-effective and efficient delivery schedules.
- Monitor and manage the daily transport operations, addressing any issues promptly.
- Coordinate with drivers and other team members to ensure compliance with schedules and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with customers to provide updates on delivery schedules and address any concerns.
- Maintain accurate records, including transport schedules, driver hours, and vehicle maintenance logs.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and transport legislation.
- Identify opportunities for improving transport efficiency and implement best practices.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in transport planning, logistics, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of UK transport regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using transport management systems and related software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
