Nurse Specialist Skin Cancer/Dermatology urgently required in London.
Dream Medical is currently working alongside a Private GP Practice based in Central London providing locum Skin Cancer Nurse cover. Ideally covering a minimum 16 hours a week to start, but as the service grows the requirement may transition into full time Monday – Friday.
Requirements:
- Graduated from an accredited nursing education program.
- A current Registered Nurse license.
- Two years experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Previous experience in skin cancer screening would be preferable.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform a physical assessment on each patient, paying special attention to the skin.
- Assist the physician in the performance of skin exams, monitor and record a patient's medical history, and be aware of relevant test results.
- Educate each patient on how to protect their skin and care for skin diseases and conditions at home.
- Ensure provision of high standards of care for patients.
- Ensure compliance with relevant NICE Guidelines, BDNG Competencies and NMC Code.
- Enhance quality of care by assisting with the management of change in nursing practice based on evidence/research.
- Plan and organise own workload in order to meet patient's needs.
- Ensure compliance with Clinic Policies & Procedures at all times.
- Practice multidisciplinary team care and contribute actively towards its successful management.
- Work in accordance with the Clinic Plan to assist in meeting the Clinic Objectives, Act as patient advocate at all times.
