Prospero Teaching is looking for an experienced and dynamic Head of Learning (Sixth Form) to join a secondary school in Hackney. This is a leadership opportunity for a strong classroom practitioner ready to take on pastoral and academic responsibility across a Sixth Form cohort.

Role overview
- Lead and manage a Sixth Form year group, driving high standards of achievement and behaviour
- Monitor student progress using data and implement targeted interventions
- Support tutors and deliver pastoral programmes, including assemblies and enrichment
- Promote attendance, punctuality, and positive behaviour across the cohort
- Work closely with SLT, SEND, and external agencies to support student needs
- Lead on parent engagement, including Parents Evenings and communication
- Contribute to the wider leadership and operational running of the school
Experience, training and qualifications
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) essential
- Degree and strong subject teaching background
- Proven experience of excellent classroom practice
- Experience working in an inner-city secondary school (desirable)
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Experience using data to raise attainment
- Up-to-date safeguarding training (or willingness to complete)
Eligibility for this role
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for one)
