Prospero Teaching is working in partnership with a welcoming and well‑established nursery in Yeovil, who are looking to appoint an experienced and passionate Pre‑School Room Leader on a permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early years professional who is ready to take the next step in their career and lead a Pre‑School room within a supportive and nurturing setting.
Role Details
- Position: Pre‑School Room Leader
- Location: Yeovil
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00
- Pay: £12.96 per hour
- Contract: Permanent, full‑time
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day‑to‑day running of the Pre‑School room
- Plan and deliver engaging, age‑appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework
- Support and mentor team members, promoting best practice at all times
- Monitor children's development and maintain accurate observations and assessments
- Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
- Build positive relationships with parents, carers and colleagues
- Ensure all safeguarding, health & safety and nursery policies are followed
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- A Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent)
- Previous experience working within a Pre‑School or early years setting
- Experience in a leadership or senior role (or be ready to step up)
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
- Enchanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one)
