Readiness Manager
Programme: Logistics Commodities & Services Transformation (LCST)
Location: Bristol
The Readiness Manager is a key member of the Operations Team, responsible for all operational planning that supports Leidos contingent operations, with a focus on planning for a Strategic Base Outload (SBO) into Europe in support of NATO. The position reports to the Team Leidos Head of Operations and is embedded in DSCOM Plans, working closely with the Team Leidos Strat Base Outload Planning Manager and the broader Team Leidos mission partners.
Responsibilities
- Lead and plan the Strategic Base Outload (SBO) and provide operational support to Op FORCEFUL through DSCOM, including rehearsal of concept drills across all stakeholders.
- Develop and refine NATO Force Model (NFM) plans in collaboration with DSCOM Plans, ensuring alignment with Team Leidos capabilities.
- Monitor and track risks and issues to the SBO, assessing impacts of Change of Direction (MoD) updates.
- Engage with Military Commands and MoD stakeholders through tabletop exercises (TTXs) to support defence SBO planning.
- Maintain knowledge of current MoD Logistic Information Systems, model demands against the NFM commitment and support the TL Operational Analyst with the FORESIGHT SBO modelling tool.
- Provide operational planning and support for large‑scale exercises through DSCOM Plans, offering SME advice during the planning stage.
- Plan and deliver large‑scale TL rail delivery projects for defence operations and exercises.
- Support the TL Ops Manager and Operations Coordinators during the EXECUTE phase of an SBO, ensuring a 24/7 TL Ops capability.
- Lead operational demand and site-wide risk management, applying risk controls and log teams to critical project milestones.
Qualifications & Experience
- Ex‑military experience with staff training and logistics planning/execution; operational experience is ideal.
- Strong analytical mind and proactive, collegiate mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of briefing senior stakeholders up to Defence Policy.
- Proficient with all MS Office applications.
- Comfortable working across all domains, particularly Land.
- Understanding of the RMC finance model.
- Project management qualification is beneficial.
Clearance Requirements
- Must hold or be eligible to apply for SC clearance to start.
- Eligible to apply for DV clearance in the future.

- Pay range: £54,600.00–£70,000.00 (subject to responsibilities, experience, and market data)
