A growing logistics and distribution business is looking to appoint a Transport Operations Manager to take control of a busy, fast-moving operation. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be responsible for keeping transport running efficiently, safely, and on time.
This is not a desk-based role, you’ll be on the ground, managing teams, solving problems, and driving performance daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily transport operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery
- Manage driver teams, performance, and day-to-day issues
- Ensure full compliance with transport regulations, driver hours, and tachographs
- Monitor fleet utilisation, routing, and cost efficiency
- Deal with operational challenges quickly and effectively
- Work closely with internal teams to maintain service levels across key contracts
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs, and increase efficiency
