Senior Academic Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Senior Academic Administrator to join a centrally based Oxford University department on a 12-week temporary assignment.

This is a senior, high-impact role leading the delivery of administrative support across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. You will manage a dedicated team, oversee teaching and examination administration, and act as a key link between the department, the wider University, and divisional bodies.

About the role

• Lead and develop the academic administration team, ensuring high-quality service delivery
• Oversee administration of undergraduate and graduate programmes, including examinations
• Work closely with senior academic staff, providing operational and strategic advice
• Act as a key liaison with the wider University, Division, and external stakeholders
• Contribute to policy, governance, and continuous improvement of academic processes

What we're looking for

• Proven team management experience
• Strong knowledge of graduate studies administration
• Experience liaising with divisions and wider university structures
• Previous experience in a similar role within a university environment

In addition, you should be confident working at a senior level, with excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
