Principal Consultant – Asset Management Business Unit
We’re recruiting a talented and motivated Principal Consultant to work on Technical Advisory frameworks. The role can be worked flexibly, with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, and includes occasional travel to client sites in Northern Ireland.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside industry leaders, becoming an integral part of our Asset Management team and an important point of contact for our clients.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and partners through active client engagement and building strong relationships, ensuring excellent delivery and expert knowledge.
- Take responsibility for the effective and consistent delivery of projects using the project management framework, ensuring technical accuracy of all work completed within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues and assist in the mentoring and development of team members where possible.
- Analyse the performance of wastewater operations and assess the quality of Asset Management plans and strategies.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in the Asset Management/Water industry working for a consultancy with a thorough understanding of framework arrangements and delivery.
- Institute of Asset Management (IAM) qualification and membership.
- A Chartered Professional qualification and membership of IChemE, ICE, IMechE or similar with expertise in water and wastewater process engineering and maintenance.
- Client relationship skills to be able to work with the rest of the team to build on existing strong relationships.
- Experience of relevant tender/bidding processes with the ability to understand the brief and demonstrate our professional capability.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to adapt your style to suit different audiences.
- Demonstrable experience of operating and influencing at a senior level.
- Experience of delivering across a multi‑site organisation.
- Demonstrable experience of excellent quality management and project controls for the accurate recording of financial and technical decisions at the core of this role.
- Experience of publishing reports containing detailed technical analysis on the performance of water and wastewater process operations.
