Staff Nurse - Ward (Bank)

Bristol Hospital | Nursing | Bank | Part Time | Up to £21.00 per hour (plus weekend/night enhancement allowance) depending on skills & experience

Role type: Bank (not contracted to a set number of hours per week; ad-hoc shifts to suit business needs and availability).

Responsibilities

• As a Bank Staff Nurse on the Elective Surgical Ward, drive the standard in patient care.
• Be flexible, motivated, an excellent communicator and team worker.
• Join a close-knit team headed by the matron on a consultant-led ward.
• Fully understand and pay close attention to each patient’s needs.
• Work directly with clinical teams and gain experience of new practices, equipment and facilities.
• Collaborate with practitioners across departments to ensure continuity in patient care.

Qualifications

• Registered with the appropriate governing body (NMC for nurses).
• Post-registration experience relevant to the registration.

Working pattern

Bank role requiring a combination of DAY SHIFTS, NIGHT SHIFTS & WEEKENDS. Shifts include: Early (07:15 – 15:15), Late (12:30 – 20:30), Long Day (07:15 – 20:30), Night (20:00 – 08:00).
