Description: Full Time / 37 Hours Per Week / Permanent. Join us and help ensure our residents of Leicester receive high quality service by managing and maintaining council properties effectively. You will be provided with a van and all necessary power tools for daily tasks.
Responsibilities
- Undertake gas work to repair, maintain, adapt, and refurbish council properties (vacant, non‑vacant, leasehold).
- Engage with tenants, lease holders and stakeholders to identify work requirements and advise on best approaches.
- Collaborate closely with other Engineers, share tips, organise work to meet deadlines, and keep sites clean and tidy.
- Maintain regular communication with managers, reporting health and safety issues and ensuring all gas safety checks, certificates and documents are completed correctly.
Qualifications
- Valid ACS qualifications – CCN1, CENWAT, CPA1, HTR1 & CKR1.
- Experience in servicing and maintaining gas appliances and domestic heating systems.
- Ability to trace gas faults, devise solutions, and install work to meet design plans and current building regulations.
- Good time‑management skills and the ability to work with a range of customers, including vulnerable people.
- Confident communicator with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Full driving licence.

Salary, Hours & Package
Region: Central | Location: Various locations across Leicester City
Salary: GBP35,412 - GBP38,220 per year
Package: Total benefit value (includes pension contribution and full holiday entitlement) GBP52,115
Contractual hours: 37
