Position: Team Leader (Manufacturing)
Location: Oxford
Salary: £16.00 per hour + overtime (chance for further progression)
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.
Main Responsibilities
- Organise the hour‑to‑hour function of your designated projects or area.
- Ensure all colleagues work safely and efficiently, consistent with company requirements.
- Complete any project set‑ups required throughout your shift, liaising with the client at all times.
- Support the customer and supervisor with resolutions to any queries, questions or concerns raised.
- Ensure each project has the appropriate level of information required to carry out the task, while maintaining accuracy.
- Assure product quality by defining required labelling, material flow and product handling.
- Organise resources to achieve section inspection targets, checking the skill matrix and ensuring consistent allocation of Inspectors to particular projects.
- Ensure all colleagues understand and can work to the required level of inspection with good material flow, including appropriate labelling.
- Equip colleagues with correct tooling and materials for required activities.
- Keep the team aware of daily shift requirements and communicate appropriately to achieve targets.
- Advise shift management and Customer Liaison Manager of concerns identified during inspection activities.
- Work with shift management to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
- Carry out inspection activities personally, when required.
- Ensure that project paperwork is completed on time and to the required standard for all projects under control.
About You
- Knowledge of the automotive industry and experience working within OEMs is beneficial.
- Experience managing people across multiple projects or assignments.
- Ability to work both shifts (commutable locations).
Commute locations: Abingdon, Didcot, Wallingford, Oxford, Bicester, Wantage, Cowley, Thame, Witney.
