Reporting to the Regional Manager (South), the successful Highways Installation engineer will be responsible for the installation, testing, and maintenance of a range of highways technologies and associated equipment. This includes CCTV systems, SOS roadside telephones, loop detection systems, weather monitoring stations, traffic signals, and power cable repairs. This role covers a geographical area from Peterborough to Folkestone, including regions south of the M25. Ideally, candidates will be based near Luton; however, applications are welcomed from those located within the wider coverage area. Flexibility is essential, as the majority of work is carried out during the night (Monday to Thursday) to allow for safe road closures and minimise disruption.
This role would suite someone with installation experience already on the National Highways (NH) network or if you have some electrical, electronics or telecoms experience, who are willing to learn, like driving and are flexible. Flexibility is key in this role due to the area that will be covered.
A career at Telent can span many sectors, roles, technologies and clients giving you the opportunity to develop, learn new skills and make an impact. We are growing and we rely on our committed Team to deliver.
