EHV Cable Engineering Manager

Due to significant growth at United Infrastructure Transmission & Distribution, we are looking for an EHV Cable Engineering Manager to join our team. As an Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance and bolstering our technical credibility with new and existing clients. Your responsibilities will include leading engineering delivery across multiple projects and ensuring timely preparation of quality deliverables within the allocated program and budget.

Fender Hybrid Working

We support hybrid working, offering a blend of office and remote work. The role involves travel as needed and can be based at any of our UK offices, with a preference for Glasgow or Horsham.

The Role

Reporting to a Senior Engineering Manager, you will be an established Engineering Manager with substantial experience delivering HV cable design solutions and demonstrated leadership and coordination of a mixed team including electrical, civil, and CAD durchgeführt resources. You will coordinate all aspects of HV cable design and communicate closely with internal construction teams and our external client teams, shaping the next phase of the team's development and significantly impacting the future growth of the business.

This opportunity will allow you to enhance your project management skillset and coordination capabilities across both cable and civil team delivery outcomes. In terms of career progression, you can advance to the Senior Engineering Manager role and eventually reach the Head of Engineering level, or transition to the Head of Design discipline if you prefer a more technical pathway.

Our Clients and Projects

As a leading provider of engineering and construction services to the UK transmission and distribution sector, we are at the forefront of net zero 2050 with a secured workstream for years to come. You will support our growing workload and contribute to the increased network capacity required to deliver the UK government's pathway to 2030 and the transition to net zero.
