JOB OBJECTIVE

The 3rd Line IT Support Engineer plays a critical role in maintaining the reliability, security, and performance of MJ Quinn’s IT services. This is a senior technical position, acting as the escalation point for complex issues and a key contributor to the ongoing optimisation of our IT environment.

You’ll operate in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment where no two days are the same. The role balances reactive problem‑solving with proactive improvement, giving you the opportunity to influence how systems are designed, supported, and evolved as the business grows.

Alongside deep technical expertise, this role requires a confident and effective communicator who is comfortable engaging with key stakeholders at all levels. You’ll translate complex technical challenges into clear, meaningful updates for non‑technical audiences, while working closely with technical peers on detailed solutions and improvements.

As a senior member of the team, you’ll take an active role in mentoring and supporting 1st and 2nd Line engineers, sharing knowledge, encouraging best practice, and helping to raise capability across the service.
