In-House Senior Legal Counsel - Commercial

Location: Commutable from Liverpool and Chester (Hybrid)

We are exclusively partnering with a leading UK retailer to recruit a mid‑level legal professional into their established head office team. This is a high‑volume, commercially‑focused role within a business known for its international reach.

Working within a collaborative and open‑plan legal department, you will provide end‑to‑end legal support for various business units. This is a fast‑paced environment where you will be expected to manage your own caseload and provide pragmatic advice to senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including framework, IT, and trademark licences.
• Support major business initiatives, from commercial partnerships and joint ventures to new start‑up projects.
• Advise on regulatory compliance, data protection, consumer law, and marketing materials.
• Handle ad hoc legal queries and assist in resolving commercial disputes.

Qualifications:

We are looking for a resilient and technically proficient professional with a background in commercial law. Ideally, we seek a Qualified Solicitor with 5+ years PQE, but we are also open to experienced Senior Legal Advisors, Commercial Contracts Managers, and Legal Executives with strong in‑house commercial experience.
