Responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day support and guidance to the engineering team in your area.
- Plan and monitor maintenance tasks and collaborate with the Scheduler to ensure effective resource utilisation.
- Ensure performance and service meet compliance and monthly schedules.
- Respond promptly to customer needs, complaints, and concerns.
- Deliver toolbox talks with direct reports and submit completion records to the compliance team.
- Be available for site surveys and installation handovers as directed by your Regional Service Manager.
- Organise and maintain an effective call‑out rota for the area.
- Manage minor works through a dedicated minor‑works resource.
- Assist the Regional Service Manager in managing the engineering team.
- Deputise for your Regional Service Manager during sickness or holidays.
- Support engineers with stock control and action management.
- Attend and assist with troublesome sites and complaints.
- Provide technical support to DRS and the Sales Team with quotations.
- Initial planning of PPM on large or complex sites and meeting with customers to support key sites in the region.
- Assist in delivery of small bespoke projects and ensure on‑time delivery.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years’ experience as a multi‑disciplined Fire & Security Engineer.
- Technical background in the electrical/electronic industry (beneficial).
- Experience in front‑line customer service preferred.
- Full UK driving licence – mandatory.
- Flexibility to travel and participate in an on‑call rota.
