Job Title: Plant Manager Chilton Biomass

Location: Chilton (Durham)
What you'll be doing:
- Responsible for overall performance of the business unit
- Direction and coordination of all aspects of the Biomass Plant, liaising with the site Operations Manager and Maintenance Manager
- Drive high levels of plant performance
- Assist in establishing annual goals and objectives while supporting the strategy for the business unit
- Maintain profit and loss ratios
- Deliver operational efficiencies and cost‑saving solutions
- Act with a large degree of autonomy
- Manage and support your teams to be the best that they can be
- Prepare annual budgets
- Interact with internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis
- Liaise with relevant experts within your region and across the business to design and implement technical solutions
- Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement
- Communicate business objectives, performance and other matters of business to staff
What we're looking for:
- Previous technical experience from a continuous process background
- Degree, or equivalent in an engineering discipline
- Strong leadership skills
- Previous experience of working at a senior level
- Ability to successfully support and manage your teams by offering them guidance and taking a mentor approach to your direct reports
- Negotiating and influencing skills
- Strong commercial acumen
- Familiar with Industrial Health and safety compliance
- Power Generation Experience
