Security and Parking Officer - Bedford Hospital - Full time

The Role

Security and Parking Officer – Bedford Hospital – Full time – 40 hours per week – Days and Nights – £26,436.80 per annum.

Security and Parking Officers are essential for access and safety for patients and staff. As a Security Officer, you will protect the hospital against loss, theft, and damage; monitor and patrol the car parks; give clear directions; and provide customer service to both the public and staff within the hospital.

Shifts will be on a rotation basis: days and nights, 5 days a week, including some weekends.

What you will do

• Provide safety and car park patrolling provision to NHS hospital clients.
• Patrol the hospital site ensuring the safety and security of the site and its users.
• Play a role in the efficient running of the car park and control room, working toward continuous progress in these areas.
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast‑paced but caring environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current, valid SIA licence.
• Must be 18 or over.
• Experience in customer service (preferred).
• Background in security (preferred).
