Mechanical Design Engineer – The Role:
- Design components and products, supporting ongoing product development and innovation
- Create detailed 3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings and bills of materials for production
- Implement engineering design changes and product modifications as required
- Generate, maintain and validate technical documentation and product data
- Manage and update product parameters within the ERP system
- Conduct testing and validation
- Support the creation of sales and promotional technical materials
- Produce and maintain production–related documentation
- Respond to and resolve customer technical enquiries
- Contribute to continuous improvement of design and engineering processes
- Ensure compliance with internal processes and quality standards
- Work in line with company quality policy, KPIs and regulatory/statutory requirements
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment
Mechanical Design Engineer – The Person:
- Proficient in 3D CAD modelling for components and assemblies (ideally SolidWorks)
- Strong ability to produce accurate and detailed manufacturing drawings
- Good understanding of machining and fabrication processes
- Effective communicator, both written and verbal, able to engage with internal teams and customers
- Team–oriented mindset with a willingness to share knowledge and best practices
Located in Lincolnshire, this role would be commutable from Lincoln, Gratham, Newark–on–Trent, Nottingham and other surrounding areas.
