Assessment Manager (Fire Safety / IQA Lead)

This role offers a rare and exciting opportunity to take ownership of assessment and IQA delivery within a nationally recognised fire safety organisation. You will lead from the front as the go‑to expert, managing a team of Assessors and IQAs while ensuring all assessment practices meet awarding body and regulatory standards. The position is hybrid, home‑based with occasional travel to the Head Office.

We offer a competitive salary range of £41,000 – £45,000, further training, career progression, enhanced holiday, autonomy and leadership opportunity.

Role

• Lead and manage the Assessor & IQA team
• Oversee assessment and internal quality assurance strategy
• Ensure compliance with awarding body and EQA standards
• Conduct sampling, auditing and monitoring of assessment decisions
• Drive standardisation and continuous improvement across training programmes
• Mentor, coach and develop team members to achieve high performance
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders

Person

• Strong background in Fire Safety (10+ years experience)
• Hold Assessor and IQA qualifications
• Previous experience leading or mentoring teams
• Background in training, education or qualification delivery
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Passionate about quality, development and continuous improvement

The salary advertised is the bracket available for this position. The actual salary paid will be dependent on your level of experience, qualifications and skill set and will be decided by our client, the employer.
