We are seeking an exceptional and forward‑thinking leader to join East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust as our Head of Imaging. This pivotal senior role is responsible for the strategic, operational, and clinical leadership of Imaging services across the Trust.
The Head of Imaging will lead a diverse multidisciplinary team delivering high‑quality diagnostic and interventional imaging services, ensuring safe, effective, and patient‑centred care.
The postholder will play a critical role in shaping the future of Imaging services, driving innovation, service transformation, and digital advancement in line with Trust and wider NHS priorities.
Responsibilities
- Lead the multidisciplinary imaging team to provide comprehensive diagnostic and interventional services.
- Develop and implement the strategic vision for Imaging across the Trust, aligning with NHS priorities.
- Drive innovation and digital advancement within Imaging, ensuring services remain at the forefront of clinical practice.
- Collaborate with clinical, operational, and Care Group 6 teams to respond to demand, workforce development, and emerging technologies.
- Partner with the Clinical Director for Radiology to manage and organise the clinical radiology service and oversee day‑to‑day provision.
- Lead operational management of Imaging services, working with other service leads, divisional managers and the Executive team to maximise impact on strategic objectives.
- Champion service development, improvement and transformation projects in line with strategic goals and health‑and‑social‑care reform.
- Leverage network connections and regional forums to secure sustainable, innovative, and continuously improving Imaging services.
- Embed the Trust values of Include, Respect and Improve across all Imaging activities.
