Successful and busy wholesale food business is looking for a full time chef / chef de partie for our production kitchen in Beckenham. We produce high quality, handmade savoury pastries, pies and quiche. We are looking for someone who is hardworking and team oriented. Kitchen experience is required; candidate will be trained on the job to the specific tasks in our production line.
Favourable hours; straight shifts only - average 8 hour shifts, no more than 45 hours per week.
Duties and expectations include:
- Closely working with the kitchen team to be hands on to complete daily tasks including prepping and cooking
- Maintaining strict food safety, hygiene and allergen controls
- HACCP awareness and understanding of CCPs
- Recording temps, traceability and basic QA checks
- Following batch recipes, weights, yields and production plans
- Organising / packing orders and prepping for delivery team
- Ability to work in a small, but highly productive team
Requirements:
- 5 years kitchen experience (essential) and production kitchen would be a bonus but not necessary
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Ability to follow recipes, specs and production sheets
- Reliability, work ethic and good attitude
