Relief Pharmacist

The closing date is 11 May 2026

Lancashire Hospitals Services (Pharmacy) Ltd is delighted to offer a part‑time vacancy for an Outpatient Relief Pharmacist where no two days will be the same.

With multiple branches, you will rotate across a range of specialities—including Oncology, Paediatrics, Neurology, and more. Primarily, you will be expected to cover any of our sites across our four partner trusts, with most work in the vicinity of Preston.

If you have never worked in a hospital setting before, you will receive the necessary training to succeed. The team is friendly, helpful, and supportive, and by working collaboratively we deliver a service we are proud of. You will also work as part of a wider, multidisciplinary team and regularly engage with other healthcare professionals.

Opening hours vary slightly at each site, with working hours of 8.5–9 hours daily (including a paid lunch break).

You should be enthusiastic, motivated, and have a desire to develop our services while putting the patient at the heart of everything.

Main duties of the job

This post is an ideal opportunity for those looking to gain hospital experience or those already experienced and enjoying this type of environment.

On a day‑to‑day basis, you will act as the Responsible Pharmacist, playing a pivotal role in ensuring a safe and effective environment for our patients. You will provide leadership, develop excellent working relationships with colleagues and teams and work alongside highly motivated individuals.
