Micheldever Tyre Services is looking for a proactive Transport Manager to drive the Transport department forward with new initiatives and deliver strategic goals of the Logistics Operation. Managing and developing the Operational requirements of the Transport Department through strict adherence to current Legislation & Safe Systems of Work.
- Location: Winnall, near Winchester
- Must have: Full UK driving licence

About you:
- Full UK driving licence
- Knowledgeable in all aspects of transport management including ‘O’ licence and tachograph requirements
- Experience in a logistics environment
- Experience in a transport/fleet management role
- Proven experience of team management and development
- Experience of Health & Safety management in a similar environment
- A strong understanding of workplace Health & Safety
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems
About the role:
- Support the Site Manager, ensuring all Transport Staff comply with all aspects of Legal and Company defined legislation and policies.
- Investigate delivery delays and errors and take appropriate action to resolve.
- Always focus on customer service targets.
- Achievement of pre-determined cost objectives.
- Delivery of routine KPI targets.
- Provide a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers, providing prompt, accurate and appropriate information.
- Ensure that Company initiatives are monitored and driven effectively.
- Effect smooth implementation of Company Policies, Practices and Procedures.
