Business Development Manager – field‑based regional role covering the Northwest, Northeast, and Yorkshire.

Salary
£45,000 DOE plus extensive benefits and commission.
Contract
Permanent, Full‑time.
Working Hours
Mon‑Fri, 9:00 – 17:30.

Care Quality Pharmacy (part of Pharmacy2U) is a fast‑growing, nationally operating care home pharmacy provider, supporting care homes with safe, reliable, and technology‑enabled prescription services. We are already established across multiple regions and work with a wide range of care home operators, from independents to large groups.
Responsibilities
New Business Development
- Identify, target and secure new care‑home clients within the allocated region.
- Build strong relationships with care‑home managers, regional directors, and owners.
- Present CQP’s services, including transition support, SLAs and Service Standards.
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial meeting through contract signature and onboarding.
- Work with internal operations and onboarding teams to ensure smooth transitions of new homes.
Account Management & Growth
- Act as the primary commercial contact for existing CQP client homes in the region.
- Maintain regular contact to ensure satisfaction and identify improvement opportunities.
- Support retention by proactively addressing issues, risks, or concerns in collaboration with operations and pharmacy teams.
Relationship Management & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build trusted relationships with care‑home groups, senior management teams and key decision‑makers.
- Represent CQP professionally at meetings, regional forums, events and care sector networking opportunities.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders (pharmacy operations, onboarding, logistics, IT and customer support) to meet client expectations.
Pipeline & Reporting
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecast.
- Track opportunities, meetings and conversions in the CRM system.
- Provide regular updates on performance, pipeline and regional market activity.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends within the region.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in B2B business development within care‑homes, healthcare, social care or related sectors.
- Strong relationship‑building and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a field‑based, target‑driven role.
- Highly organised with strong time‑management skills.
- Confident presenting to senior stakeholders.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regionally.
