Emergency Duty Team - Weekends Only

Out of Hours Coordinator

Based in Leeds.

Shift Pattern

Weekends only: every weekend or alternate weekends.

6:00–14:30 or 14:30–22:15.

Flexibility to cover holiday and sickness absence on the Monday‑Friday morning shift (6:00–9:00am) and evening shift (5:00pm–10:15pm) would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Answer emergency telephone calls from service users, families, Care Managers, and Care Workers.
• Support callers with their queries.
• Document and report all calls, incidents and sickness; escalated when required.
• Log all incoming calls and actions taken.
• Assign care workers via the electronic care planning system.
• Add medication to service users’ electronic MAR charts and ensure updates are reflected in real time.
• Deal with out‑of‑hours GP, ambulances, local authorities and safeguarding when required.
• Participate in full induction training.

Qualifications & Requirements

Previous care experience is required.

Previous experience of working within a care or health environment is essential.

Enhanced DBS check and reference verification required.

Practical knowledge of electronic care planning systems is preferred.
